These Terms govern your access to drivefair.ca and all associated services operated by DriveFair. By using this website or submitting information, you agree to these Terms.
1. About DriveFair
DriveFair is an independent, community-based advocacy movement for rideshare drivers in Ontario, Canada, founded by Prem Sharma. DriveFair is not a registered trade union, registered political party, or incorporated legal entity at this time. Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, or employment advice.
DriveFair has no affiliation with, endorsement from, or financial relationship with Uber, Lyft, Hopp, or any other rideshare platform. We are entirely independent and receive no corporate funding.
2. Membership and Participation
Joining DriveFair is free and voluntary. Membership does not create an employment relationship or any legally binding contract.
- You may withdraw at any time by contacting us through our social media channels
- Membership does not obligate you to participate in any action, campaign, or statement
- Participation in any DriveFair activity is entirely at your own discretion and risk
- You must be 18 years of age or older to register
3. Confidentiality of Member Information
Absolute commitment: DriveFair will NEVER share, sell, transfer, or disclose member information — names, phone numbers, emails, areas, or platform affiliations — to Uber, Lyft, Hopp, or any other rideshare platform under any circumstances. Ever.
We also never share member data with any employer, government body (except under a valid Canadian court order with maximum possible notice to you), any party whose interests are adverse to drivers, or any advertising or marketing company.
4. Platform Operator Relations
DriveFair's activities are directed at achieving fair treatment through lawful advocacy and organizing. Coordinated collective actions such as simultaneous log-offs are lawful under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (freedom of expression, association, and peaceful assembly). DriveFair does not instruct members to violate any platform's Terms of Service or engage in unlawful activity. Each member is solely responsible for their own compliance.
5. Insurance Information Accuracy
Information on this website regarding rideshare insurance coverage (including the $2,500 at-fault deductible for active orders) is provided for general awareness. Insurance policies vary by provider, policy terms, and circumstances. Always verify your specific coverage with your insurance provider. Nothing on this site constitutes insurance or legal advice.
6. Earnings Calculator
The earnings calculator is for general estimation only and does not constitute financial or tax advice. All calculations run in your browser — no data is transmitted to or stored by DriveFair.
7. Disclaimer of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario and Canadian law, DriveFair, its founder, organizers, and volunteers disclaim all liability for: loss of income or platform deactivation arising from your participation in DriveFair; any damages from use of this website; inaccuracies in the calculator or any content; technical failures; or any outcome of any advocacy or collective action. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
8. Indemnification
By using this website, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DriveFair, its founder, organizers, and volunteers from any claims or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, applicable law, or platform terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Ontario and Canadian federal law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

DriveFair takes member privacy extremely seriously — especially given that rideshare platforms would benefit from knowing who our members are. We will never let that happen.
What We Collect
- Name, WhatsApp, email, area, platform, experience, role, languages — for organizing and communication
- IP address — briefly for spam prevention only, not stored long-term
- The earnings calculator collects nothing — it runs entirely in your browser
How We Use It
Only to send your membership confirmation, add you to your local group, and send DriveFair updates and action alerts. Never for advertising or any purpose unrelated to driver advocacy.
Who We Share With
NEVER Uber, Lyft, Hopp, or any other rideshare platform. We do not sell your data. Ever.
Limited sharing only with: DriveFair zone leaders (name, WhatsApp, area only); email service providers under strict processing agreements; law enforcement only under a valid Canadian court order with maximum possible advance notice to you.
